Important: Echo Player is strictly just a media player application and does not provide any type of content whatsoever including live tv channels or V.O.D. To use Echo Player, you need to add a playlist or add a management code from your provider. By using this application, you agree to these terms and conditions.
1. Agreement
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Dawazak Technologies Limited (“we”, “us”), the operator of Echo Media Player and the Echo Player app. They cover the Echo Player apps for mobile and TV, echomediaplayer.com, the user portal at user.echomediaplayer.com and the reseller programme (together, the “Service”). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. What Echo Player is — and isn't
Echo Player is software that plays media from sources that you add, such as an Xtream Codes login from a third-party provider. We do not provide, host, sell, stream, index or recommend any channels, films, series or other media, and we have no relationship with, or control over, any provider whose playlist you add. Any content you watch comes solely from the source you configured.
3. Your responsibilities
- You must only add playlists and play content that you have the legal right to access in your country.
- You are solely responsible for your choice of provider and for the content you access through Echo.
- You must not use the Service to infringe copyright or other rights, to distribute unlawful material, or to break any law.
- You are responsible for keeping your account password and any management codes secure.
4. Devices and accounts
Each installation registers a device with us. You may create an account in the user portal to link and manage devices. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country). We may suspend accounts or devices that show signs of fraud, abuse or security risk.
5. Free trial and premium
- A free trial period begins when you add your first playlist on a device. When it ends, continued use of premium features requires a purchase or activation.
- Premium can be activated by purchasing through the user portal, by linking the device to your account with an activation code, or by entering a management code issued by a provider or reseller.
- Prices, plan durations and the number of devices covered are shown at the point of purchase. Taxes may apply.
- Refunds are handled in line with the refund terms shown at purchase and your statutory rights under applicable consumer law. Purchases made through a reseller are subject to that reseller's own terms.
- Management codes are single-use unless stated otherwise, may carry an expiry date, and have no cash value.
6. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Echo Player apps on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms. You must not copy, modify, resell, rent, reverse engineer or decompile the apps (except where the law expressly allows), remove proprietary notices, bypass licensing or activation, or use the Service to build a competing product.
7. Resellers
If you take part in the reseller programme you additionally agree that:
- You act as an independent business and not as our agent, and you are responsible for your own customers, pricing, support and taxes.
- You will only supply or assign playlists, guide sources and content that you are legally entitled to distribute, and you will not market Echo Player as including any content.
- Tokens and management codes are licences to activate Echo; they are non-refundable once issued unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- You will handle customer data you can see in the dashboard in line with applicable data protection law.
- We may suspend or close reseller accounts, and deactivate codes they issued, where we reasonably believe these Terms or the law have been breached.
8. Updates and availability
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. The direct-download apps can update themselves; store versions update through the store. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it may be unavailable during maintenance.
9. Third-party services
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, including playlist providers, metadata and guide services, app stores and payment processors. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them and we are not responsible for them.
10. Intellectual property and complaints
Echo Media Player, its logo, the Echo Player apps and this website are owned by Dawazak Technologies Limited. Because we do not host or provide media, we cannot remove content from a third-party playlist. If you believe a reseller account, or material on our own website or portal, infringes your rights, email with details and we will review it promptly.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the portal. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We make no warranty about any content accessed through the Service or about any third-party provider.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service or any content you access with it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from content you access or distribute using the Service, or from your breach of these Terms or the law.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
